Sky Poker has added a touch of celebrity to its sold out live event at Luton's G Casino this weekend.
Joining the 150-runner field will be racing personality and journalist John McCririck, former Spurs, Portsmouth and Chelsea midfielder Mickey Hazard, World Cruiserweight boxing champion Johnny Nelson and model Kitty Lea, described by Front magazine as one of the fittest women ever.McCririck is probably the best known of the quartet for his appearances at the poker table. The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant is a regular on Sky Poker and has appeared in a number of televised celebrity tournaments. Asked about the main differences between racing and poker the whiskered one said, “The big difference is that in poker you make the decisions, with other betting events you are betting on other people, that is why poker is so popular. It is your fault whether you win or not!" The other players are no strangers to the felt either. Hazard has cashed in Sky's 500 event and model, DJ and actress Kitty Lea plays whenever she gets the chance. Nelson too is a regular on Sky Poker. The Luton leg of the popular live tour is sold out already. To qualify for future Sky Poker Tour events in Glasgow on 8th May, Swansea on 10th July and Nottingham on 11th and 12th September visit www.skypoker.com/tour.
