CAPT Seefeld Coverage Begins
Friday, 26 February 2016
Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker have premiered their first video report concerning the Seefeld stop of the Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT).
The online poker sites recently awarded a trio of seats into the Austrian festival’s main event and aficionados can now follow these competitors’ progress by checking out the Living The Dream blog.
One of the CAPT’s ‘big four’ competitions and featuring an estimated total prize pool of €800,000 ($867,980), the Seefeld stop will run until February 28 with its €2,160 ($2,343) buy-in main event getting underway from today.
“It’s taken me a while to get used to these European players’ style,” said ‘Chris’, one of the online poker players that won a CAPT Seefeld main event seat courtesy of Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes.
The Pittsburgh native agreed with fellow Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker qualifiers ‘Daniel’ and ‘Tim’ that the main event field at the picturesque Tyrolian ski resort was somewhat soft while revealing that he was disappointed not to have picked up some extra cash by taking part in a few smaller buy-in tournaments before the finale kicked off.
“They all seem to be extremely cautious or extremely aggressive [and there are] not too many that fall somewhere in the middle like I do,” said ‘Chris’.

Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker will release daily video reports from Austria via their Living The Dream blog.
“The structure of these smaller tournaments sucks,” said fellow qualifier ‘Tim’ from Texas.
“They’re too fast. No time to get a read on the other players. I’m looking forward to the main event where we have more time and more chips to play with.”
“
Living The Dream; no better way to describe this trip. I've only been in Austria two days and would already say this is an experience of a lifetime. The amazing architecture, history and beautiful scenery have kept me so busy and excited that I almost forgot we are here to play poker. It might be too amazing here to play as both ‘Daniel’ and I have come up short, getting pretty unlucky in a couple of the smaller buy-in events so far. No worries though, I'm convinced we are just saving all for the main event.
“The people at Intertops Poker have done an incredible job here. They’ve gone above and beyond for us players. I cannot thank them enough.”
A local professional poker player residing in nearby Innsbruck, ‘Daniel’ agreed with his fellow qualifiers’ CAPT Seefeld main event synopsis.
“The way the main event is structured, you can easily grind because you get 50,000 chips and sixty-minute levels,” said ‘Daniel’.
“You don’t have so many showdowns like in the turbo tournaments. It’s so deep and the blinds increase so slowly, so you can really play your hands and you’re not all in all that often. You’re always deep. That’s very nice.”
Members of the
Horizon Poker Network, Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes also reminded online poker players that they are running a similar satellite tournament campaign offering competitors the chance to win one of five prize packages into the main event of the
TK Poker Tour for as little as $1.10.
The sites declared that each of the packages are to be worth $3,000 and encompass the $1,100 main event buy-in for the April extravaganza alongside five nights’ accommodation at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort in St Maarten including all meals and drinks, a $100 cash game voucher and $600 to help with travel expenses.
