The British Masters of Poker makes a very welcome return this weekend with the opening leg of its 2010 tour taking place at the Harbourside Casino in Bristol.
The action gets under way tonight at 7pm with a £200+£20 side event before Saturday's main attraction. The Main Event is a £500+50 buy in affair starting at 3pm tomorrow. A third, £100+£10 buy in event takes place on Sunday at 5pm.Mark O’Donnell, Head of Casino and Poker for Coral.co.uk, said, “We’re kicking off in Bristol this year and as it’s one of the best card rooms in the country and is packed out every night, we’re expecting it’ll be a sell-out. We’re keeping the £500 main event as we know that’s what the players really like about the tour. We’re really looking forward to getting the 2010 events underway and seeing all the familiar faces and friends soon.” As well as cash prizes the winners of each tour leg, plus the best overall player and the winner of an online qualifier will go through to a play off where the winner will walk away with a Coral sponsorship package worth £10,00.Last year's CBMPT champion and sponsored Coral.co.uk player, Mark Trett, said: “It’s fantastic to have another professional poker tour in the UK where you can play for five figure sums and be part of a European ranking event. It’s a great platform for the good local players to dip their toe in and mix with the big boys. I’ll be attending all of the main events and as many of the side events as possible.” After the initial stop in Bristol the tour heads to Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham, Stockton and Edinburgh.Qualifiers can be found at Coral.co.uk.
