Brit Ben Warrington heads EPT Prague

Thursday, 13 December 2012

55 players started day 4 at EPT Prague and by the close just 21 were still in contention for a €835k pre-Christmas bonus.

Leading the way heading into the penultimate day is Ben Warrington who will return with 2,681,000 chips. The Briton has already secured his best ever tournament score, surpassing the €15,000 he won after a 47th place finish at EPT Berlin in 2010, but will no doubt be hoping for much more.

There's plenty of class remaining though including last year's runner up David Boyacian who lies in second with 2,469,000 and long time chip leader Ramzi Jelassi who sits in third on 1,975,000. Further back are the likes of chess prodigy turned poker star Jeff Sarwer on 1,233,000, Team PokerStars pro Johnny Lodden on 763,000 and Roberto Romanello who returns as the short stack with 341,000.

The action resumes at lunchtime tomorrow with blinds at 10,000/20,000 with a 4,000 ante. The 21 survivors are guaranteed at least €25,000.
