Brian Townsend leads WSOP $10k H.O.R.S.E

Friday, 25 June 2010

The original field of 241 runners in the $10k HORSE World Championship event has been whittled down to just 23 with Mr Kara Scott leading the way.

Townsend ended the day with a massive stack of 623,000 followed closely by Marco Johnson on 610,000 and Carlos Mortensen on 560,000. Other big names still in the hunt include Robert Mizrachi, Eugene Katchalov, Todd Brunson and Englishman Richard Ashby who is well placed for a second bracelet run with 325,000 chips.

Scotty Nguyen just sneaked into the money but returns as the short stack tomorrow with just 55,000 chips. It's not quite chip and a chair territory but with blinds at 5,000/10,000 it's not far off.

The action resumes at 11pm tonight UK time. Join us tomorrow to see whether Scotty's made a miracle comeback, Townsend is celebrating a maiden WSOP win or we have more British success to report.
