Scandinavian rivals Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom and Gus Hansen are set to face off in a special heads- up encounter next month.

The Full Tilt ambassadors will meet in a special best-of-three contest on Sunday 14 September with bragging rights, a forfeit and $50,000 on the line.

The high stakes pair will play Stud 8 (Gus’ choice), No Limit 2-7 Triple Draw (Viktor’s choice) and a third game chosen by a public vote on the Full Tilt blog.

As well as dropping a chunk of change, the loser will have to sing the opponent's national anthem (which will later be released as a video clip) or put in 1,000 hands at the microstakes razz tables at Full Tilt.

“I skipped Vegas and EPT Barcelona this summer, so it feels good to have something big coming up,” said Blom. “This Heads Up Showdown against Gus is going to be really cool, especially as there’s more than money on the line.”

Full Tilt is inviting railbirds to get in on the action by joining either team Gus or team Viktor. Hansen fans who make a deposit of at least $20 and earn 50 FPPs will be invited to join the $10k Gus Supporters Freeroll. A further $10k will awarded to Isildur1 backers in the Viktor Supporters Freeroll. Both will be held on Saturday 13 September at 7.15pm UK time.

After the best-of-three contest concludes, players who registered for the winner’s supporters’ freeroll will get a shot at a share of $30,000 in the $30K Heads Up Showdown Flip Freeroll, at 7:15 UK time on Monday, 15 September.

A $635 FTOPS Main Event ticket will be awarded to one lucky players who tunes in to watch the three matches on Full Tilt.
