Beskrovnyy Still Leads in Prague

Wednesday, 12 December 2012

Having led the pack from Day 1, Iosif Beskrovnyy continued to dominate yesterday’s EPT Prague main event action.

At the start of the day Beskrovnyy topped the chip chart with 239,000 and by the conclusion of Day 2 he was in command of 625,200 chips.

While Beskrovnyy continued to add to his stack a host of familiar faces hit the rail as the field was cut from 480 runners to just 162. Some of those hitting the rail throughout the day included: Ville Whalbeck, Toby Lewis, Jake Cody, Jason Mercier and last year’s winner, Martin Finger.

Also bringing back big stacks along with Beskrovnyy for the start of today’s session were the likes of Martin Hanowski (484,000), Fabrice Soulier (396,200) and Chris Brammer (389,900).

128 players will make the money today, which means the money bubble should occur sometime during the first few levels before the players make their final assault for the €835,000 top prize.
