The final pair of GUKPT Summer Series events took place in Sheffield and Southampton over the weekend with Christopher Webber, Michael Arnot and Garry Hallows the big winners.
Webber collected the biggest cash (£10,390) of the weekend after outlasting a 65-runner field in the Southampton £500+£50 Main Event. In doing so he became the first double event winner on the Summer Series.Michael Arnot was top dog in Sheffield, pocketing £7,820 for his Main Event win. A mention too though for Main Event third place finisher Garry Hallows who in addition to his £3,910 score pocketed an extra £1,260 after a runner up finish in the £150 side event as well as a further £1,460 after finishing third in the £200 Double Chance freezeout.Matthew Christopher went on to win the £200 Double Chance freezeout in Sheffield pocketing £2,920 (as well as a further £1,720 in the bounty tournament). Andrew Walker took home £1,680 for winning the £150 freezeout with John Stokes taking the £100 Bounty Booster for £2,455.The GUKPT proper returns in August with Luton's G Casino hosting a week-long festival from 14 to 21 August 2011.
