Just eight players remain in the PokerStars NAPT event at the Venetian with the winner set to scoop $827,000.
24 players took their seats at the start of Day 4 of the inaugural PokerStars North American Poker Tour event at the Venetian yesterday, with a place at the final table up for grabs. After a tough day, only eight remained with Sam Stein leading the way at the close of play with a stack of over 6m chips. Joining Stein at the final table are Tom Fuller, David Paredes, Yunus Jamal, Tom Marchese, Eric Blair, Daniel Clemente and 'Miami' John Cernuto.Stein was the dominant force throughout the day, destroying one time chip leader Andrew Lichtenberger. It was often a case of “Coming Up For Air” for start of day leader Eric Blair though. The 24-year-old from Connecticut started the day with a massive stack of 4m chips but could never get any momentum and was left with just 1.68m at the end of Day 4.The action resumes later today with $827,000 and the accolade of being the answer to the quiz question “Who was the first winner of the NAPT?” going to the winner.
