Allan Baekke leads EPT Snowfest final table

Friday, 26 March 2010

The PokerStars European Poker Tour Snowfest event high in the Austrian Alps has had the initial field of 546 players narrowed down to a final table of eight, led by Danish player Allan Baekke and featuring PokerStars Pro Johannes Strassmann.

Baekke began the day as chip leader over the 24 remaining players and reinforced that position by eliminating Nasr El Nasr in the very first hand with AK over A7. The final table bubble was burst when Dutch player Huub Verdonschot ran AJ into AK and wasn’t saved by the board that came king-high on the turn.

Every player at the final table is guaranteed at least €28,000 with the chip counts and seat assignments as follows:

Seat 1: Russell Carson (3,463,000)
Seat 2: Alain Medesan (919,000)
Seat 3: Jonathan Schroer (972,000)
Seat 4: Johannes Strassmann (2,034,000)
Seat 5: Lukas Baumann (728,000)
Seat 6: Brent Wheeler (3,096,000)
Seat 7: Allan Baekke (4,688,000)
Seat 8: Daniel Van Kalkeren (396,000)

The action begins today at 2pm, so join us tomorrow to find out who took down the PokerStars EPT Snowfest and the €445,000 first prize.
