A field of 387, smaller than anticipated, began the PokerStars NAPT Mohegan Sun over the weekend and now just 74 remain in contention with the bubble bursting at 56 spots.

Leading the way into Day 3 is Aaron Overton who eliminated PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso with a full house to send his stack over the 500,000 milestone.

However, another PokerStars-patched Vanessa is on his tail and it is none other than defending champion Vanessa Selbst in fifth place (339,200), who won this event for $750,000 last year. She's hoping to put another $450,000 on her winnings at Mohegan Sun by taking down the first prize this year as well.

Victor Ramdin, who won the NAPT-that-wasn't in California last month, also made his way into the top ten chip counts and wound up with a little under 300,000 to begin Day 3. Heads-up tournament specialist Olivier "livb112" Busquet is just ahead of Ramdin in the standings.

It's probably worth pointing out that Selbst got her stack by 5-bet shoving 8d-4d into pocket aces and winding up with a straight to take a monster pot, though she did apologise to her shellshocked opponent. It's all to play for though and Overton, with almost 5% of the chips in play, is the man to beat.
