25/25 Series Ends

Wednesday, 16 December 2015

The final 2015 pair of 25/25 Series competitions from the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) took place over the weekend with Louis Kneeshaw winning the northern edition to claim the biggest chunk of a £32,400 ($48,647) prize pool.

The northern 25/25 Series leg took place at the Grosvenor Casino Stockton in County Durham with Kneeshaw finishing atop of a field 162 runners that included UK tournament regulars Marc Foggin and Brett Angell.

A relative novice with a previous tournament prize best of only £90 ($135), Kneeshaw overturned a four-to-one deficit to seal the win over Jeff Powles and pocket a pre-Christmas bonus of £9,750 ($14,629).

The 25/25 Series action from the GUKPT will now take a Christmas break before returning from January 7 to 10 with legs in London and Birmingham. As usual, there will be guaranteed prize pools of at least £25,000 ($38,043) on offer for a buy-in of £220 ($330).
