“Ges26” Enjoys Huge Micro Win

Monday, 25 March 2013

PokerStars’ MicroMillions Main Event came to a hugely profitable conclusion for “Ges26” earlier today after they outlasted 68,081 players.

The $22 tournament had $1 million on offer and in typical fashion that prizepool was exceeded. Indeed, when registration finally closed the money waiting to be divided up was $1,361,620, which meant that the winner would walk away with $167,541.

As the masses dispersed and the winner’s prize drew ever closer it was Belgium’s “sublimoviccc” who narrowly missed out on a final table appearance.

Hitting the rail in 10th place allowed the surviving players to bank at least $5,596 and be in with a chance of entering the MicroMillions Hall of Fame.

As nine players became five a deal was struck, dividing the prizepool in a flatter way than the advertised structure. A minimum payout of $72,506 allowed the UK’s “textbookstu” to end his session and reflect on an excellent performance.

A trio of eliminations left “appst08” and “Ges26” vying for the title and a mandatory $20,000 still up for grabs. Having already secured $120,468 it was Belarus’s “Ges26” that used his chip lead to run away with the tournament and scoop the largest haul of this year’s successful fourth MicroMillions series.

MicroMillions Main Event Result:
1st “Ges26” $140,468
