€150k European Shorthanded Championship announced

Friday, 10 June 2011

Players who like their tournament action of the six-max variety will be delighted to hear that the European Shorthanded Poker Championship is back for a third year.

The 2011 incarnation will once again take place at the Ballsbridge Inn, Dublin with organisers D4 Events promising a whopping €150,000 guarantee for the €550 Main Event. Another change for this year's tournament is that it will be a re-entry affair, with Day 1A bust outs able to buy in again on Day 1B.

Alan Trueick outlasted a 311-runner field to take the 2010 title. It looks like this year's winner will have to beat an even bigger field as months away from the start, 75 players have already satellited into the Main Event.

The full schedule is as follows:

Sep 21st - 8pm - €60 Super Satellite - rebuy
Sep 22nd - 1pm - €550 Main Event Day 1A
Sep 23rd - 1pm - €550 Main Event Day 1B
Sep 24th - 2pm - €300 Side Event
Sep 25th - 2pm - €200 Side Event
