The finale of the latest FullTilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) from FullTilt Poker came to a conclusion last night following a three-way chop involving Niall Farrell and Mike 'Timex' McDonald.
The $635 buy-in event attracted 2,557 entries meaning that the prize pool was pushed to $1,534,200 while the winner would bank $291,498.As you'd expect, the great and the good of the online poker community were on display as the multi-entry deepstack event got underway. But as the field thinned, it was the aforementioned Farrell and McDonald that began to dominate.Indeed, after seeing off the likes of Sami 'LarzLuzak' Kelopuro in fifth place for $79,778, Farrell, McDonald and 'Chilax Chuck' were able to dispatch with 'YRWTHMELTHR' before cutting a three-way deal. With little to choose between them, the trio agreed to take $200,000 each and leave $36,232 and the gold jersey for the eventual winner.Having secured another impressive finish in 2014, McDonald was the first to fall before 'Chilax Chuck' found himself outmatched by Farrell. After losing his footing, the challenger eventually relinquished the last of his chips with his two-pair unable to overcome Farrell's set of fours. With the title in his possession, an ecstatic Farrell took to Twitter to announce the result and raise a virtual smile.
